Lois Matykowski of Stevens Point, Wisconsin was happy to find her wedding ring after it being missing for five years. But she didn’t find it under the couch…
Their family dog Tucker began to vomit one day and as Lois Matykowski was cleaning up the mess with a paper towel she made a delightful discovery. I know it’s hard to believe anything at that moment could be delightful, but for Lois it was.
She looked in the paper towel she was using to clean up the dogs misfortune and discovered her wedding ring!
“I look in the paper towel and here is my wedding ring,” says Ms. Matykowski. “I kid you not. My wedding ring was in Tucker’s puke!”
She was tore up five years ago when she discovered her wedding ring was missing…
“I was devastated. How do you replace something like that? Not only the value of the ring but just the emotional ties.”
Of course being mad for the dog’s “accident” on the carpet were the last thoughts to go through her mind. She was just overjoyed to have her ring back after all these years.
As curiosity arose, the dog was taken in to have an x-ray to make sure no other family heirlooms were hiding out in the dogs belly, but nothing else was discovered thankfully.
According to the veterinarian, the ring was probably dislodged when a popsicle stick passed, from when Tucker stole one of their popsicles and ate it stick and all.
